It’s been a rough year for art shows, with many having had to hastily move to online viewing rooms or be cancelled altogether. Things are looking up, however, and in-person events are slowly starting to come back.
Scheduled from September 11 through to October 24, the 2021 Tiferno Comics show will be dedicated to Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri. Festival organizers promise a display of nearly 300 paintings and a “beautiful screenplay” prepared in celebration of the artist. The show is set to cover Serpieri’s storied career, showcasing work from his early years under the instruction of Renato Guttuso, his work on Western comics in the 1970s, and the creation of his most famous character, Druuna.
If you happen to be in Italy this Fall and can attend the show, be sure to share your impressions in the comments below.
