Christie’s Art + Tech Summit

At Christie’s Art + Tech Summit earlier this month, questions were raised regarding AI’s future applications in the art world. Investor Kevin O’Leary spoke at the conference, stating that we were in the “show me” phase of the technology, claiming that many are waiting to see what promises made by AI innovators will actually materialize.

ArtNews also points out that while comparisons to the NFT bubble have been drawn to AI art, the “use-case” for AI art is far murkier than the practical problem solved by NFT technology – namely, giving digital art monetary value.

Films including Blade Runner, The Matrix, and Pumzi will be featured among over 25 other titles in the exhibition. The “Cyberpunk” curation is part of the PST ART: Art & Science Collide initiative, presented by the Getty.
